Traveling around the country and meeting current and future customers, I am often asked, "What is the number one cause of bad sewer flow metering data?" The answer is not a simple one as sewer flow metering is by nature one of the most challenging monitoring environments around. When pressed however I respond that site selection and sensor installation probably have the most obvious impact on data quality. Even the most technologically advanced flow meters
will perform poorly if they are installed incorrectly. If you are a Hach Flow customer you get the benefit of the most experienced team of sewer flow meter experts in the industry. This is no empty boast. A significant number of our team members each have 20+ years of direct experience. An even greater number have at least a decade of hands-on flow metering experience.
While we share our expertise with our customers every day, in less than two weeks we will also share that expertise in a big way through a webcast, Straight Talk from the Sewer Flow Experts
. This webcast, to be held Wednesday, April 25
will allow participants to learn about the latest technological advances in sewer flow monitoring. Two of our sewer flow experts (Jim Darby and Jim Caruso)
will discuss flow meter selection for common applications and will use case studies to demonstrate flow metering solutions for challenging applications. The webcast will conclude with an open-forum question and answer period on any sewer flow monitoring topics participants wish to raise.
See you there!
